Q: Are your tests CE marked?A:Most of EGENS's diagnostic test kits are CE marked indicating that they meet the requirements of the relevant product directives. Test kits that carry a CE mark show the symbol next to the test kit name in our online product listings and in our Diagnostics Catalog available for download in our support section.

Q: Can I use the buffer supplied in one Eline ™ Rapid Test Kit to run a different Rapid Test?A:
No, the buffer supplied with each Rapid Test Kit is intended for use only with the kit in which it is supplied. The composition of each buffer is optimized for that particular test, so buffers are not interchangeable between kits. To ensure that you are using the correct buffer, check that the test name on the buffer label matches the test name on the pouch.

Q: Should a faint test line be interpreted as positive or negative?A:
Any color development on the test line in combination with development of the control line indicates a positive or reactive test result. The intensity of the test line does not correlate with the target concentration in the specimen. Specimens with reactive results should be confirmed with alternative testing methods and clinical findings before a positive determination is made. Consult the instructions for use supplied with each kit for a detailed explanation on the interpretation of assay results.

Q: What do I do if a test produces an invalid result?A:Invalid test results are most commonly caused by insufficient sample volume or procedural error. If the control line does not develop, review the entire procedure in the instructions for users provided with the kit and repeat the assay with a new test device. If invalid results occur repeatedly, please note the lot number printed on the back of the pouch and immediately report it to service@egens-bio.cn.

Q: Why it is necessary to test twice a day?A:Since current study shows that 38 % of women have the length of the LH surge only lasting less than 10 hours, we recommend you use Essure™ OvulationTest twice a day in the morning and the evening, to more effectively and accurately catch your ovulation timing. LH surge usually comes before ovulation, which means release of egg. Egg can only live for 24 hours or less after it is released, while sperm survives only a few days in your body. Consequently, the Essure™ OvulationTest can help you predict the two most fertile days following the detected LH surge. Having intercourse within these days will maximize your chances of becoming pregnant.

Q: Will the amount of liquid I drink affect the result?A:Heavy intake of fluids prior to testing will dilute the hormone in your urine. We suggest that you limit your fluid intake for about two hours before you collect your urine.

Q: What time of the day should I perform the test? Do I need to use first morning urine?A:We do not recommend first morning urine, but any other time of day is suitable. For best results, try to collect your urine at approximately the same time each day.

Q: I have had a positive result and had intercourse during these fertile days. I think I may be pregnant. How soon can I find out?A:The Essure™ pregnancy products can provide you with results as early as the first day when you missed your period.

Q: I have received a positive result and had intercourse during these fertile days. I have not become pregnant. What shall I do?A:There are many factors that can affect your ability to become pregnant. Often you may need to use the test kit for 3-4 months before achieving pregnancy. You and your partner should consult your physician if pregnancy is not achieved after 3-4 months.

Q: I am now using the basal body temperature method (BBT). Does this test replace BBT?A:The shift in basal body temperature primarily indicates that ovulation has already occurred. The Essure™ OvulationTest indicates that ovulation is about to occur.

Q: Once I see a positive result, when is the best time to have intercourse?A:Ovulation is likely to occur within 24-48 hours. This is your most fertile time. Sexual intercourse within this time frame is advised.

Q: How long will the line remain visible?A:The test should be read at 5 minutes for best results. A positive (Surge) result will never disappear. The color line may become darker and a tinted background may appear after several hours. Some negative results may later display a faint second color line because of evaporation from the test region, which prevents complete migration of the test chemicals. Therefore, you should discard the test Cassette once you have read the test.

Q: Do alcohol or common medications affect the test?A:No, but you should consult your physician if you are taking any medication.
